Company Background

As the HR Manager of our San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Spokane offices you will serve as a business partner, providing counsel and leadership in business decisions, procedures and programs to the Assurance, Tax, and specialty functional areas. The HR Manager will foster positive associate and partner relationships for a client base of 250 associates and will set in motion growth plans to grow the population to approximately 450. Will proactively manage employee relations, effective communication with associates and actively coach and counsel managers. The HR Manager will be responsible for administering compensation and reward/recognition programs; proactively assessing and identifying talent needs, work closely with the recruitment function to ensure a diverse talent pool including international hires and assignments; and drive the performance management and improvement process for the local offices. To be successful in this multi-faceted role, the Manager must possess a thorough knowledge in staffing, training, employee programs and benefits, compensation and HR information systems, as well as sthe ability to demonstrate project leadership skills, establish processes, timeliness and team rapport.

As the HR Manager, you will partner with business leaders on a variety of HR and business-related issues; help lead HR initiatives; and work with National Centers of Excellence of HRIS, Staffing, and Learning and Knowledge Management to provide human resource solutions. In this role you can expect to:

  • Work closely with business leaders to translate business strategy into HR strategy

  • Provide HR consultancy, advice and coaching to business leadership

  • Communicate business needs to West Region HR Director, HR Transactional Centers and HR Center of Excellence leaders.

  • Work with managers and employees on employee relations and performance issues.

  • Help facilitate the performance assessment/development and compensation programs.

  • Train, educate and disseminate information on HR policies, programs, practices and procedures.

  • Support Benefits, Compensation, Staffing and other shared services/centers of excellence groups on implementing special projects and programs as needed.

We require a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or equivalent as well as at least 8 years of HR generalist experience, with 2 or more years of experience having been direct supervisory, and an emphasis in HR systems/processes. Professional Services environment and International HR experience would be considered strong positives. The i deal candidate will also have: a track record of successful impact on business results ; strong analytical and project management skills ; superior judgment and organizational skills ; experience working autonomously and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
